Exam Study Guide
  • The Field & Lab Practical ...
    • is 30% of the grade.
    • is closed book.
    • covers the questions given as "Lesson Points" for each topic we covered - see also Material Covered below
    • will consist of 15-25 stations in the field and lab.  Each station will have multipart questions.
    • questions will be short answer/short essay (that is, requiring one to several sentences).
    • be sure to bring snowshoes and cold weather gear, needed for the field component of the exam.
      • forecast - Sunday:  Areas of blowing snow before 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 37. Windy, with a west wind between 24 and 33 mph, with gusts as high as 50 mph.

      • The only material that may be directly taken from the readings is re Plant Physiology on -

    • Need to know species id's?  yes and no:
      • You are not responsible for id'ing species presented as specimens in lab activities -
      • However, you are expected to know common/dominant species in the field (common name ok).
