Description:
These cells appear in clusters of 4-8 often overlapping one another. They look like a bunch of green grapes.
Notes:
Green Lakes: Morphotype CS. Formerly called Coenochloris polycocca in the Green Lakes.

Secondary Description:
Colongy is spherical, consisting of 32-64 spehrical cells scattered throughout the colonial mucilage; several progeny colonies of smaller cells are mingled. The chloroplast is cup-shaped, becoming massive in older cells, and there is one pyrenoid. Can form biflagellated zoospores.
